Bremenhalle
The Bremenhalle is a dual attraction within City Airport Bremen.
Firstly, milestones in the history of aerospace in Bremen are on show, and secondly the hall can be used and rented as a location for all kinds of events, presentation and celebrations, including catering.
The hall is also home to an historical airplane – the Junkers W33 Bremen, D1167. This is the original aircraft that in 1928 was the first ever to fly from Europe to North America. There is also a ‘Stieglitz’ biplane built at Focke-Wulf in Bremen. Another attraction is the Bremen-built ‘Spacelab’ that spent a total of almost 80 days in outer space.
In the outdoor section, you will find yet another piece of Bremen aviation history – the VFW 614 plane built by VFW-Fokker is exhibited on the viewing platform. This was the first commercial German aircraft for short hauls, and was designed and built in Bremen for civilian use in the post-war years.
The exhibition is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
