Nowhere else in Germany will you find an international airport that is as close to the city centre as the city of Bremen airport. You can get from the airport to Bremen’s city centre within a mere 11 minutes, or fly from the City Airport to 47 different destinations worldwide.
The ‘Neuenlander Feld’ aerodrome on which City Airport Bremen was built is located in the western part of the Neustadt district and in the heart of Germany’s northwest region. City Airport Bremen is a highly efficient full-service airport serving 2.4 million business and holiday travellers a year, all of whom benefit from our unique advantage: Easier to reach – quicker to leave!
From the BSAG bus and tram stop, it is only a few steps to the check-in counter. City Airport can be quickly reached by car via the new A 281 motorway and also offers inexpensive and abundant parking facilities. Many airlines also provide a day-before check-in service, and the Airport Hotel is adjacent to the terminal.
Five airlines operate scheduled flight to the European business centres of Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, London, Munich, Paris, Stuttgart, Toulouse and Zurich – with a total of 200 flights week for week.
Almost every holiday destination on the planet can be reached from Bremen with only one connecting flight. In the low-fare segment, Ryanair flies to 22 European destinations.

Fire service
The Bremen Airport Fire Service has more than 30 trained fire and ambulance service personnel and a fleet of 12 vehicles. The fire station headquarters house the vehicle fleet as well as the operations room and the crew quarters. Any part of the airport site can be reached in a very short time. In the event of an aircraft accident on or near the runway, no more than three minutes are required for each vehicle to reach its specified position after the emergency call is received in the fire operations room.
