Useful information for travellers with restricted mobility 

A range of services are available at City Airport Bremen to assist travellers with restricted mobility.

If you require help, please notify:

  • at least 48 hours before departure
  • the airline or your travel operator

Services at City Airport Bremen for passengers with restricted mobility
‘EC Regulation 1107/2006 (EG-Verordnung Nr. 1107/2006) concerning the rights of disabled persons and passengers with reduced mobility when travelling by air’ has been in force since 26.07.2008.

The Regulation requires that airlines and airports providing assistance, and defines a common standard applicable throughout the European Union.

Help Service:
The Help Service at City Airport Bremen will assist you at check-in, at the security control and will accompany you to your seat in the plane. You will find the pick-up and drop-off point for the Help Service in the main terminal (in the round glass structure).

The Airport Help Service is also available to you when you return to Bremen. Inform either the in-flight personnel or contact the Help Service immediately after you land.

Parking with your own car:
Parking facilities for the disabled are located on Level 3 of the P1 car park. These parking spaces may only be used by people with a valid Disability ID. There will also find a telephone from which any traveller with restricted mobility can contact the Help Service.

The lifts in the multistorey car parks are barrier-free for people in wheelchairs and are easy to use. They can also be operated by people with visual disabilities or the blind, in that every lift provides all information in Braille as well.

All facilities for disabled persons at City Airport Bremen are marked with the appropriate symbols.

  • Public telephones accessible by wheelchair
  • Lifts
  • Escalator in Terminal 3 (user operated)
  • Guidance system for the blind between the multistorey car park, the tram stop and the terminal building

Disabled toilets
Several toilets for the disabled are available in the Terminal 1-3 building.
Information about their exact location can also be obtained from the Information desk.
